Service scope

Bananarium lets users import recipes from links, manually pasted text, and one to five photos; save and edit them in a collection; automatically translate recipe views; use AI to prepare independent Thermomix® appliance instruction adaptations; open completed results in Cookidoo®; add notes and tags; create shopping lists; and use BananaCoins.

An adaptation is not an official Vorwerk recipe. Bananarium does not control a Thermomix® appliance. Before cooking, the user should check temperature, time, speed, ingredient quantities, accessories and all other settings.

The meal plan lets users assign saved recipes to breakfast, lunch or dinner on a chosen day, change portion counts, move entries between days and meals, and add ingredients for an entire week to a shopping list.

When importing from a link, the app may use descriptions and other publicly available source content, including a creator's comment and YouTube transcripts or captions. If the available text is insufficient, it may search related public web sources and use OpenAI to analyse source images, TikTok photo slides or selected frames from Instagram, TikTok or Facebook videos. A separate manual import analyses the supplied photos and optional text in one pass without searching the web. AI ranks the added photos and the app saves the highest-ranked one as the recipe cover; the user can later change or remove it. The analysis may read visible text and identify ingredients and preparation steps. Source content and AI results may be incomplete or inaccurate; review the resulting recipe before cooking.

Service provider and contract

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are made available before sign-in. A contract to use Bananarium is concluded for an indefinite period when, after reviewing these documents, you first sign in with an Apple or Google account.

The version downloaded from the App Store is licensed under Apple's standard licence agreement. The version downloaded from Google Play is subject to that store's terms. These Terms govern the account, Bananarium services, BananaCoins and the referral programme.

Account, technical requirements and termination

Using the app requires a supported device with a current or supported iOS or Android version, an internet connection for sign-in, synchronisation, imports, purchases and the first language-model download, and an active Apple or Google account. Once the relevant model has been downloaded, automatic translation can work offline; full synchronisation and server features still require an internet connection.

The account is personal. You are responsible for securing your Apple or Google credentials and should promptly report suspected unauthorised access.

You may terminate the contract at any time by deleting the account in app settings. Account deletion is irreversible and removes account content and unused BananaCoins; anonymised accounting data is retained for the period required by law.

We may temporarily restrict a feature, suspend an account or — in serious or repeated cases — terminate the contract where necessary because of a breach of law or these Terms, fraud, a security threat, circumvention of safeguards or service abuse. The measure should be proportionate. Unless urgent protection of users, the service or third parties requires otherwise, we will explain the reason before acting and allow the breach to be remedied. You may appeal at kontakt@bananarium.app. Temporary suspension does not forfeit purchased BananaCoins.

Using the app

The app is not intended for anyone under 16. By using it, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old.

Bananarium is intended for creating a private recipe collection for personal use. You must not use it for bulk or automated content retrieval, bypassing source safeguards, creating a public catalogue of other people's material, or in a way that violates law, source-platform terms or third-party rights.

By pasting text, adding an image or providing an import link, you instruct Bananarium to access the selected content and process it technically as needed to create a recipe. You confirm that you may submit your own content and that using and requesting processing of third-party content in the requested scope is permitted by the rights holder's consent, a licence, source terms or applicable law.

The user is responsible for content submitted or identified for import and for use of the resulting recipe. Before preparing food, the user should review the recipe, particularly for allergens, ingredients and food safety.

User content and technical licence

You retain rights in content you create in Bananarium or already have rights to. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your content or external-source material to Bananarium.

For content you may license, you grant Bananarium a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence limited to acts necessary to provide the service: retrieving or receiving content; technically reproducing, analysing and transforming it with AI systems; providing it to technical providers identified in the Privacy Policy; saving it in your account; displaying it to you; and sharing it only when you initiate a sharing feature.

The licence lasts while the content is stored in your account and ends when it is deleted, subject to short-lived backups, legal duties and actions needed to handle an infringement report. This licence does not let Bananarium sell your content, publish it in its own public catalogue or use it to advertise third-party products.

Import may create a new, structured and editable version of recipe information. A source link is retained where supplied or identifiable. Public availability of material does not itself mean it may be used without restriction.

Third-party rights

Bananarium respects copyright, image rights, trademarks and other third-party rights. We may refuse an import, restrict access to content or remove it if we receive a credible infringement report or reasonably believe its use is unlawful.

Send infringement reports to kontakt@bananarium.app. Include the reporter's contact details, identify the protected material and basis of rights, describe the disputed use, include the source link and — where available — the Bananarium recipe identifier or screenshot. State that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or act on their behalf.

We handle reports without undue delay. We may request more information, temporarily block content, share the report with the user where lawful, and restore content if the report is unfounded. The user should cooperate in resolving the report.

BananaCoins and purchases

Importing a recipe and preparing an independent Thermomix® appliance instruction adaptation are separate actions. Each costs 1 BananaCoin.

At the start of a new import or independent adaptation, we reserve 1 BananaCoin. If the action does not produce a completed result, the reserved BananaCoin automatically returns to the account.

BananaCoin purchases are available in the iOS app through the App Store and in the Android app through Google Play.

Purchased BananaCoins do not expire. BananaCoins are digital content supplied immediately after purchase. By confirming a purchase in the App Store or Google Play, you consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that you then lose the 14-day right of withdrawal under Article 38(13) of the Polish Consumer Rights Act.

Apple processes payments in the App Store and Google processes payments in Google Play. Refund requests follow the procedure of the store where the purchase was made. PyHek remains responsible for Bananarium's operation, user support and conformity of the digital service with the contract.

Each account has a permanent referral code. The referrer receives 5 BananaCoins when the invited person assigns the code within 30 days of creating the account and before their first purchase, buys a package of at least 10 BananaCoins, and then completes a successful import. Earlier imports do not exclude participation. A code may be assigned only once. A qualifying-purchase refund may reverse the reward up to the referrer's available balance, without creating a negative balance.

The referral programme prohibits self-referral, additional accounts, automation or false data, artificially generating or reversing qualifying purchases, and presenting a referral as an official Bananarium promotion. For documented abuse, we may withhold or reverse a reward on the terms above. We will explain the reason, and the decision may be challenged at kontakt@bananarium.app.

External services and marks

Thermomix® and Cookidoo® are trademarks of Vorwerk Group entities. Bananarium is an independent app and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Vorwerk.

Using an Apple or Google account, the App Store, Google Play, Google Translate, Cookidoo® and source platforms is also subject to their operators' terms and availability. Automatic translations are powered by Google Translate through Google ML Kit. Bananarium does not control these services or guarantee uninterrupted operation.

Availability, liability and consumer rights

We work to keep the app stable, but technical interruptions, import, automatic-translation or independent-adaptation errors, and limitations caused by on-device translation-model availability or Cookidoo® may occur.

AI-generated results and automatic translations powered by Google may contain omissions or errors. Google disclaims all express or implied warranties related to the translations, including accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Bananarium does not replace professional dietary or medical advice or food-safety instructions and does not control a Thermomix® appliance. Before using a recipe, check its ingredients, allergens, temperature, time, speed, quantities, accessories and other instructions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits statutory consumer rights, liability for conformity of the digital service with the contract, or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Complaints, governing law and disputes

Complaints, questions and reports about the app may be sent to kontakt@bananarium.app.

A report should describe the problem, give its approximate time and include information helpful in reproducing it.

Polish law governs the contract. This choice does not deprive consumers of protection under mandatory law in their country of habitual residence. Disputes are decided by the competent ordinary courts.

A consumer may use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures, including applying to the relevant provincial inspector of the Polish Trade Inspection for out-of-court dispute resolution. Information is available from provincial Trade Inspection offices and the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK).

Changes to these Terms

These Terms may change because of changes in law or app-store rules, security requirements, service operation, available features, the charging model or technical conditions. A change is not retroactive and does not remove BananaCoins purchased before it takes effect.

We will give advance notice of a material change by email linked to the account or another durable medium, stating its content and effective date. The current Terms are always available in the app menu.

If a change materially and adversely affects access to the service, you may terminate the contract and delete the account before it takes effect. This does not limit any broader rights available to consumers under law.
